Family Basement Rec Room & Bath

These homeowners have plenty of house above grade, but don't have much yard space. With an unfinished basement as a blank canvas, they wanted to create a large open interior play space for their small children during the long winter months. They added a home office behind the stairs, and separate the exercise equipment with custom built-ins and columns which double as kids' game storage. There is plenty of room for riding bikes, playing house, and dressing up in the space under the stairs. The contemporary bath includes an enclosed shower as well as a sauna.
