This typical 1964 split level was in dire need of a makeover, both inside and out. The Owners needed a true master bedroom suite, along with a designated home office for him and a quilting room for her - all of which were added in a 1,000sf addition over the existing main level (kitchen, dining and living spaces). The interior kitchen relocated to an exterior wall, expanding the overall footprint, while maintaining a formal dining room and a large, open family room. The new stair has high windows allowing daylight in to three levels of the home, and creates a sense of connection through open railings and clear sight lines. The home, once previously dark and choppy, is now bright and open.
