In-law Suite Addition

This stately 1912 farmhouse was added on to at least 3 times over the last 100 years, but the current owners needed a new space for Grandma to move in. The corner lot highlights the home from all sides, so matching the existing character of the home was paramount. Working with Grandma to design the space to fit her beloved furniture and rugs, we designed a cantilevered addition over the previous Family Room addition. Her new Suite includes a Livingroom with a balcony overlooking the lush back yard, a Bedroom with a private Bath, and a kitchenette with laundry. The primary Kitchen and Family below were redesigned as well. Grandma's spaces are accessible, and a chairlift will be added for accessibility from the first floor.
