Compact Kitchen Remodel

This typical 1960s split-level model home had a Kitchen with 2 circulation access points through the middle of the space, making for a terrible workspace for the cook. Rather than removing the walls an putting in a island, the owner wanted to separate the Kitchen to define the space and keep passing circulation out of her workspace. This offered a secluded U-shape Kitchen with increased countertop space that is still open to the Dining room and adjacent Living room while also blocking the view into the Kitchen from the front door. New floors were installed throughout the main level, along with new stair, rails, and front door.
